SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT
As a screenwriter and director, he made his debut with the short film "IGNORA", starring Álvaro Morte.
Years later, his short "WINGS" was selected for the Official Competition at the Tribeca Film Festival. It also opened the Recent Spanish Film Festival in Los Angeles and was featured in over 50 short film festivals, earning awards such as "Best Short Film," "Best Director," and "Best Cinematography."
His latest short film, "QUIEN LLAMA", has won three awards for Best Director, two for Best Short Film, and was selected at the HollyShorts Hollywood Festival and the Málaga Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short Film at the Feroz Awards.
From 2005 to 2015, through his production company Mediagrama, he PRODUCED the films: "IMPÁVIDO", "THE MAGNETIC TREE", "THE ISLAND OF THE WING", "MALTA RADIO".
In 2021, Villalobos was the HEAD OF CONTENT in Elamedia Studios.

Music Producer and Film Composer
As a composer, he is known for his collaboration with Alberto Iglesias on The Kite Runner, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score, as well as for BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards. He has composed scores for high-budget TV shows such as The Philanthropist, produced by Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana for NBC, and Reconstruction, created by Peter Horton (New Amsterdam).
His ongoing collaboration with Argentine director Diego Lerman has led to three nominations at the Argentine Academy Awards and two additional nominations from international film critics.
In his work as a music producer, Villalobos has collaborated with artists such as Shakira, Sia, and Jennifer Lopez, among others. In 2018, he composed and produced music alongside Chris Martin (Coldplay).

Revise and rewrite the script, refining dialogue, pacing, characters, and structure.

Deliver the final, polished version of the script.
